Playoff Party

We had some friends (mostly Mike's high school buddies) over to watch the conference championship games on Sunday. Lynda, of course, was all pumped up to see her Steelers play the Ravens. She used her new sitting bear cake mold to make an awesome Ben Roethlisberger teddy bear cake for the playoff party! Our friends Dusty and Katie brought their little girls over and Kayla's makeshift ball pit was the highlight of the party for them. We even got all the girls in the ball pit at once although it was pretty crowded.

Full of Energy

A couple videos of our very calm and relaxed daughter. In the second one, she had her first helping of Michael's Frozen Custard a couple hours earlier. It was taken after 9 o'clock when you think she would be tired since it was past her normal bedtime. We're convinced this is why she is in the 20th percentile on weight.

A New Year and Some New Skills

Kayla has been learning a lot since the new year came around. First she learned to use a screwdriver to put her toys together, then figured out how to climb up stairs by following after her cousin Emry. Now that she has 5 teeth we have started brushing them before putting her to bed. She quickly realized how exciting brushing your teeth is and decided to try it by herself. Finally, Kayla is becoming quite adept at driving her mother crazy by getting into all sorts of mischief around the house (I fear we may have underestimated her sneakiness).
