Day 6 - Wild Animal Park

On our last day of vacation in San Diego we headed out to the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. It was a really beautiful place with huge open areas for the animals to roam around in. Although that is great for the animals, it does make it harder for the people to see the animals up close. We did get some pretty amazing views of Lions and Elephants though. Kayla's favorite part was when the baby elephants were wrestling with each other.

Day 5 - Balboa Park and San Diego Zoo, Again

After taking Kayla to the zoo and Sea World on consecutive days we thought we would give her a more relaxing day on Monday so we took her to Balboa Park (a huge urban park with lots of museums and the zoo nearby) to chill out. She had a great time dragging her leg across the ground to get as much mud as possible on her pants (much to mommy's dismay, hehehe). After playing at the park for a while we got lunch, did a little shopping, and then couldn't resist taking her back to the zoo to see our favorite animals again :)

Day 4 - Sea World & Del Mar Beach

On Sunday we went to Sea World for the day. We had a great time there except Kayla did not appear to enjoy the killer whale and dolphin shows - we had to take turns with one of us taking Kayla out of the show while the other one got to watch :( Kayla was able to enjoy a pretty close encounter with a polar bear though.

After Sea World we went to Del Mar beach to relax and give Kayla her first taste of the ocean. She loved playing in the sand and getting all dirty but did not enjoy the ocean water since it was about 12 degrees, brrrrrr! She also did not enjoy mommy and daddy trying to clean her off at the end of the beach excursion.
